Punching machine for frezzer panel punching

above: machine No 1 punched 56 holes in one operation with two blows within the machine to give a floor to floor time of 15 seconds. The machine produces panels to line the insides of a family of chest freezers, and the tools can be quickly reset to different panel sizes for different freezer models. The beds have pre-drilled location holes stamped with the six different sheet sizes for the freezer models.

Punching & notching machine for refrigerator panels

above: This is an illustration of a punching and notching machine to produce white pre-painted 0,5mm steel panels for the sides of refrigerators and vertical display cabinets. The machine has two circuits built into the system which are activated in conjunction with proximity metal detector switches.

In the first position the blank is push against back stops at the rear of the machine and metal detector switches signal to the machine electrical controller that contact is made - so that when the foot pedal is operated - only specific punches will operate.

For the second blow, the sheet is pulled forward and located to detection stops so that when the foot pedal is operated, the second circuit comes into operation and completes the punching of the remaining holes and notches.

We have recently completed a large export contract to build seven machines for a refrigerator and freezer manufacturer in the Middle East which were delivered to Syria and Lebanon over the last six months.

The machines are to punch and notch the sheet metal parts in one operation using pre-painted and plastic coated pre-cut blanks. A total of 42 different panels can be produced by the machines, on a ‘just in time’ basis.

Parsell Minni-Die designed and manufactured the machines totally ‘in-house’ - including all instruction manuals in English & French, detail drawings and spare parts.

Loading a lid punching machine with plastic coated steel blank

above: This machine is used to punch the lids of chest freezers made from pre-cut plastic coated steel. The tools included hinge punching, lock hole punching, foam filling holes, and the main handle slot hole.

Punching Tools for freezer panel production

above: shows punching tools with deep throat angled to reach across to various inner holes - to enable the blank to be punched in one cycle of the machine.

left: this machine punches and notches the dimple aluminium liner for chest freezers. The machine crops corners and punches a series of holes in the first cycle and then the sheet is pulled forward to complete the second circuit cycle.

Note the developed corner crop and the ‘dished’ punch and form hole. The material is guided as it is fed into the machine by ‘Vee rolling back stop bushes’ and is supported by roller track. The sheet material is kept into contact with the ‘Vee’ rollers by sprung loaded pushers opposite.
